SUBJECT: What to do about Frazier
BODY:
Hey Ike,
I think it was a bad idea to let Frazier at the helm of those probes. He's too damn curious. What a fucking cat.
Maybe the bad idea was buying the Jupiter probes from the Pono in the first place. We let that slip. We should have known it could jepordize Diplomacy. I guess we assumed we'd be further. We also erroneously assumed this previous political cycle would be the last.
Wiping the software on the things wasn't enough. Frazier fired the software team Luke had OK'd. His new team rewrote the probe software and they got into all the tools they were not supposed to. We heard nothing about this. For the last time, we can't trust cats!
So, he needs to go. The problem is that Mr Tuxedo has been showing the dogs too much impressive shit. He's got a vision and a trajectory. His letter is public. I'm getting and I've seen our collegues screens full of "what the fuck?" emails. Silently getting firing him is too suspect at this point. And I will never push for Disposal the way some of you do.
Here's my suggestion. We give Frasier exactly what he wants. We'll start a "Phenomena Analysis Division". And we can "promote" him to the head of the Federation Intelligence Division, because we "want his incredibly analytical brain" or something. And then, we involve him in the Diplomacy. He'll be an insider with an insider role, and he'll know the situation.
As for the Phenomena Analysis Division, he said he's looking for a biology focus. I'm sure The Big GIB would love if we put his kid at the top of it. She's been part of the Diplomacy when her father was in office. She's one of us. She knows where this is going to go, and we don't have to tell her what not to say.
This should just be a hiccup, but we should make sure we have all the coasts clear before we get back to dealing with current Aan. We still haven't gotten clear answers as to how many of their Diplomats are here in the shell. We do NOT need the public finding out more about the Drek presence on their planet OR ours at a time we have no answers! If we can hold out one more cycle, we won't have to explain a thing.
Be radiant,
In Loux,
Chorryn Ceannard
